“I’ve always wanted to release a song like this but I don’t think I really thought I had it in me, I just think I was more insular and introspective, reflecting on where I fit in the world. Now, this is the direction I feel most free. I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ve been around the block and I’ve done a whole bunch of different genres and I keep evolving as an artist. This time round, it is unashamedly pop and raucous and loud and anthemic and big.”
